Grab It! : the avant-pop of JacobTV

    Krankies at the Werehouse
    Friday, August 20, 2010, 7:30 PM

The genre-bending music of leading European composer JacobTV (Jacob Ter Veldhuis) meshes elements of rock, jazz, and classical music. But it’s far from crossover; his music is emotionally direct and powerful. This Carolina Summer Music Festival concert features two of his celebrated “Boombox” pieces, which combine taped spoken words with live musical sounds, as well his lyrical and driving String Quartet No. 3 'There must be some way out of here'. With Krankies as the setting, you can enjoy a great coffee or beer and experience the new sounds of JacobTV up-close with some of the Triad’s best contemporary musicians.
